My son had a speech delay and when he just turned 3, we had Isabel came in. From her observations and interactions with my son she was able to let me know how different his thought process is. She explained strategies to me for improving his speech and the results were almost instantaneous. Though she specialises in special needs kids, their parents and caregivers are the main target group in order to help our children since we are with them most of the time. The amount of information I have learnt and resources she has shared with me were life-changing. It has helped me understand and parent my son better. It is because of her support and encouragement that my bond as a parent with my child is even closer now. Within less than 6 months, my son is able to convey coherent phrases unlike before where he communicated with sounds. Isabel is our home based speech therapist for more than a year and my son loves sessions with her from Day 1. My son made significant progress in his speech, behaviour and play based learning attitude.

Isabel is caring, gentle and thoughtful. She had helped my child overcome her challenges and become more confident in herself. Isabel was recommended to me by my son’s occupational therapist. My son started to see Isabel for weekly therapy sessions at the age of 5, when he could only repeat 1-2 words after us (echolalia).

Isabel was able to identify my son as a gestalt language processor during the first speech therapy session. At the end of each therapy session, Isabel would share with us about my son’s speech development progress and strategies on how we can continue speech practice at home to support what is being targeted in each session.

Teacher Michelle taught my son and he enjoys her sessions very much! Teacher Michelle would assess his needs thoroughly and plans activities to develop his various abilities. She also gives strategies to practise at home to ensure that his learnings are sustained. Importantly, Teacher Michelle is kind and patient towards my son and he always looked forward to seeing her!

Michelle is our son’s educational therapist, and she has been instrumental in addressing his auditory working memory issues. She has gone above and beyond to help him build not only his skills but also his confidence. Before Michelle started working with him, we had seen a few other therapists, but our son struggled to establish a bond that made him feel comfortable and motivated to work on his development. Watching Michelle build a strong relationship with him has been truly inspiring.
